Specialists of the Daşoguzenergogurluşyk enterprise are actively carrying out installation work at the construction site of a new electrical substation in Dashoguz, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
This facility is being built as part of the Balkan-Dashoguz overhead power transmission line project, which will allow the formation of a single energy ring in Turkmenistan.
The new substation will serve as an intermediate link in this system - convert and distribute electricity, including from a large power plant located in Dashoguz.
A substation consists of several transformers, switchgears, control devices and auxiliary structures. It will connect to a similar 500 kV facility being built in the north of the country.
Thanks to the implementation of a number of projects, Dashoguz velayat already has a developed energy infrastructure. Work to improve the reliability and efficiency of the system continues.
