President of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan Allaberdy Ashirov represented the country at the first meeting of the subcommittee on scientific and technical partnership of the Turkmen-Chinese Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee, which was held in Beijing.
The Chinese side was headed by Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China Zhang Guangjun, reports the IIC.
The meeting participants assessed the current state of scientific, technical and innovative activities of Turkmenistan and China, and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation were considered.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to cooperate in the field of scientific research, exchange of scientific personnel, and expand scientific cooperation between Turkmenistan and the PRC in the field of cybersecurity.
Following the meeting, a corresponding protocol was signed.
