Julian Nagelsmann has become the new head coach of the German national football team, reports TASS with reference to the press service of the German Football Association.
The 36 years old specialist signed a contract with the national team until July 31, 2024. Nagelsmann took charge of Germany after Hans-Dieter Flick left his post as head coach on September 10.
In his first interview as Germany head coach, Nagelsmann said he wants to focus on the 2024 European Championships in Germany.
“There will be a European Championship in our country, this is something special. I will concentrate on this tournament. Next year we will be a united team”, - said the new “Bundesteam” coach.
Nagelsmann has experience working for top clubs in Germany. From 2021 to 2023, he led “Bayern”, with whom he won one championship and two national cups. Before this, the specialist worked at “Hoffenheim” and “Leipzig”.
