The qualifying tournament for the Youth (U-23) Asian Football Cup, which will be held from April 15 to May 3 in Qatar in 2024, has ended.
Teams from Kuwait, Tajikistan, China and Malaysia won the last four tickets to the final stage of the tournament, which, as previously reported, the Turkmenistan team was unable to qualify for.
This became known following the results of the final matches in groups “F”, “G”, “H” and “I”, in which Kuwait beat Macau - 3:0, China beat India - 2:1, Malaysia defeated the Philippines - 4: 0, and Tajikistan beat Laos – 2:1.
In addition, the winners of 11 groups directly qualified for the final part of the tournament - Jordan (group “A”), the Republic of Korea (group “B”), Vietnam (group “C”), Japan (group “D”), Uzbekistan (group “E”), Iraq (group “F”), UAE (group “G”), Thailand (group “H”), Australia (group “I”), Saudi Arabia (group “J”) and Indonesia (group “K”).
The Qatar youth team (U-23) will take part in the competition as host.
