The Faculty of Civil Defense will be opened at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction. The corresponding Decree was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, reports the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper today.

The document also states:

• to open at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction the department of civil defense in construction work, the safety of the chemical industry within the established staffing of the Ministry of Defense;
• The Ministry of Defense, together with the Ministry of Education, should prepare and approve the Regulations on the aforementioned faculty in the prescribed manner.

In accordance with the document, the admission of students to the Faculty of Civil Defense of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction is prescribed to start from the 2023-2024 academic year.

The document was adopted “in connection with the construction and commissioning of a complex of large modern facilities and buildings for social and industrial purposes in the context of the systematic development of the country's architecture, industry and road construction and in order to increase the resistance of buildings to the effects of natural disasters and in emergency situations, to prevent the occurrence of similar situations in them, as well as the training of military specialists with higher education in the field of civil defense”, the Decree notes.
