The new services providing for the use of electric buses and electric taxis in the new administrative center of Ahal velayat was proposed to be developed by the chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during today's inspection of the new building.
“By pointing the importance of environment ecology preservation, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined the necessity of detailed working out of the issue on training of drivers and specialists on technical maintenance of the new transport types”, - the information program “Watan” of the Turkmen television reported.
The new administrative center of Ahal, where approximately 70 thousand people will live, is being built on an area of 950 hectares 30 kilometers southwest of the Turkmen capital. The start of the construction of the first “smart city” worth of 1.5 milliard of US dollars was launched in April 2019. The construction of the first stage of the administrative center of Ahal velayat should be completed in December of this year – by the Day of Neutrality of Turkmenistan.
